About the Event
Our Love Feast at Shepherd's Heart includes a modest meal, songs, prayers, devotion, communion, and foot/hand washing. Whether you've never been or you always go, we truly encourage all to participate or observe. The Love Feast not only offers a unique way to remember and honor Jesus at the Last Supper, but also allows us to humbly model Jesus' act of service to his disciples. It's a gathering of fellowship, love and thanksgiving where we can thank and praise Jesus for His sacrifice.
To encourage participation for any lacking comfort with foot/hand washing, we will offer an alternative element in this part of the service. For those choosing not to participate in that portion, we will convene in separate area for an additional time of devotion and prayer to reflect on Christ's example of humble love and service.
The Brethren Love Feast is a special, meaningful and powerful sacrament, and since we do not do communion regularly, it's even more important that as many as possible can experience it's spiritual richness and blessings.
